Brown Street Subdivision
Mark Janos and Mark Griffin represented the developers of the Wheelwright House property to create a four (4) lot subdivision. This Open Space Residential Development required multiple hearings in front of the Newburyport Planning Board. The end result struck a balance between dedication of open space with public access and the concentration of spacious residential lots in a private setting. Janos & Griffin handled all aspects of the legal work associated with the project, including: closing the purchase of the property; obtaining the land use permits; negotiating with Essex County Greenbelt for monitoring of the open space; creation of the Homeowner’s Association; and handling the lot sales while maintaining a builder tie-in.
